Also, up for election in the summer of 2024 were the positions of secretary and treasurer. Each position carries a two-year term. Terry Small, the commissioner of the New Jersey Athletic Conference, was elected to the post of secretary while KYW retiree and an adjunct professor at multiple local colleges, Larry Litwin, was elected to the post of treasurer.

Michael Luongo took over the post of PSWA President in the summer of 2023. His term ends in the summer of 2025. He was chosen as the organization’s President Elect at the PSWA’s 2021 elections and spent the ensuing two years in that role in preparation to assume the role of president in 2023.

Mike Shute, a multimedia sports freelancer, was elected as the President Elect in 2023, which means he will take over as PSWA President, succeeding Luongo, in 2025. And Dave Uram, sports reporter at KYW NewsRadio, was elected to the role of Vice-President in 2023.

On January 16, 2025, the PSWA will hold its 120th Awards Banquet and Dinner at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Cherry Hill, NJ. The organization is the oldest of its kind in the nation. For more info and tickets visit the our ticket-purchase page by clicking here.
