Sage Hurley – PSWAF Scholarship Winner

March 10, 2021|

Congratulations Sage Hurley, Temple University Honors College Class of 2022 Journalism Major. Sage’s tireless work ethic, excellent academics, and dedication to learning various aspects of the sports journalism and media arena through experience at Klein College of Communication and abroad earned her this honor.

The Dean’s list and Klein College Freshman Top Scholar recipient is currently a supervisor, anchor, and reporter at TUTV’s Owl Sports Update, and an intern at DLN Sports as ice hockey beat writer. The versatile Hurley recently earned Temple’s Jessica Savitch Broadcast Scholar Award for journalism students demonstrating professional promise. The Temple Sports Media Society for Women Member served as Temple Update update anchor last semester, and wrote and photographed for Ocean City Magazine for nearly 3 years.

When Sage is not working hard as a student or as an aspiring sports journalist, Hurley is intramural sports chair for her sorority Delta Phi Epsilon. There she assists philanthropic efforts raising money for those with Cystic Fibrosis and ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders).

We are thrilled to honor Sage Hurley as a recipient of the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association Foundation scholarship.
